The nature of God

Bottom line: You have the God Nature.

Teaching

The Bible teaches us in Genesis 1 that God in creating the earth, created different creatures to inhabit the earth. He created trees, animals, and Man as well. Now, these creatures have a nature that is intrinsic to them. An animal has the life and nature of an animal, which is different from the life and nature of humans. Animals behave the way they behave because they have that nature. Man behaves the way he behaves because he has the nature of man. Therefore, the nature of a thing dictates the way that thing functions. A good example we can see in the Bible is in Daniel 4:32-33

³² You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like the ox. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes.

³³ Immediately what had been said about Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled. He was driven away from people and ate grass like the ox. His body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails like the claws of a bird.

Daniel 4:32-33

The nature of an animal was given to King Nebuchadnezzar to humble him. This caused him to live as an animal.

The Bible teaches us that, when God created man, he breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being.

⁷ Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Genesis 2:7

The man received the human nature which is superior to that of animals. Then, man functioned as a mortal human on earth, after the fall. But God through the sacrifice of his son, Jesus, made it possible for us to obtain a life and nature which is higher than the human life and nature. It is the divine life and nature of God. Our proof text says:

 ⁴ by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.

2 Peter 1:4 (ESV)

The divine nature referred to in this scripture is the life and nature of God. That nature which makes God who he is. So, the Bible says, we are gods on earth, because we have obtained the life and nature of God.

⁶ I have said, Ye are gods;
and all of you are children of the most High.

Psalms 82:6

We therefore must renew our way of thinking. We must stop thinking like ordinary men and begin to think and function like gods. 

² And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Romans 12:2

We must be careful with what we say because our words are decrees in the spirit. God made us gods on earth to rule and have dominion on earth, not to be victims. Remember the Bible says:

¹ Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;

Galatians 4:1

We must therefore grow up and mature so that we can fully function as gods on earth. We will dominate and subdue the earth because we have the nature of God in our Spirits. Hallelujah!

• I am born to rule and dominate my environment because the life of God flows in me.

• I am a partaker of the divine life and nature of God.

Prayer

Dear Lord, I thank you for giving me access to a higher life. I declare today that I rule, dominate, and function as a god on earth in the name of Jesus. Amen.
