How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Acts 10:38 (KJV)
Bottom line: You are called to restore lives.
Teaching
Ever since the devil was thrown out of heaven because of his rebellion against God, he has had an objective to corrupt God’s creation and destroy everything that is close to God’s heart. Since he realized that he couldn’t measure himself with God, he decided to hurt God by bringing pain to His creation, because he knows that we are at the center of God’s heart.
Therefore, the prime mission of the devil on earth is to still, kill and destroy.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
1 Peter 5:8 (KJV)
He desires to steal every trace of joy in your family, he desires to bring pain through sickness and death. He desires to give man a taste of hell while on earth.
But God will not allow him to carry on his plans without intervening. The Bible says that He sent his son Jesus Christ to bring light and life to all those who are oppressed by the devil:
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
John 10:10 (KJV)
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Luke 4:18 (KJV)
Therefore, while He was still on earth, the Bible records that Jesus went about doing good, healing the sick, delivering the oppressed, bringing joy where there was sorrow, and bringing hope in hopeless situations. Jesus came to undo the works of the devil in the life of man.
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Acts 10:38 (KJV)
Before Jesus ascended to heaven, he gave us the task to continue His works till the end of the earth. So, every Christian has the assignment of undoing the works of the devil in the lives of men and to restore them to a place of peace and joy, as God would have them be. We are called to make men have a taste of heaven while on earth.
This immense task cannot be accomplished by words only, but real actions must accompany your words as James the apostle puts it.
14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
James 2:14-17 (KJV)
You must therefore empower yourself with the necessary tools that will help you succeed in this divine assignment. Go to school and get a professional training to empower yourself financially. Attend various training programs that are organized by your local church and equip yourself spiritually. Make yourself an effective weapon that God will use to restore lives in this generation, and the Lord will use you immensely to touch many in your country and across the globe. Hallelujah.
