The blessing of the Lord

The blessing of the Lord

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich,
and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Proverbs 10:22 (KJV)

Bottom line: God’s blessing will make you a king.

Teaching

A lot of people pray to God asking for His blessing daily. They all believe that our God is a God who blesses, and His blessing does us good. Well, they are right. Our God is a God of blessing. He is a Father who loves giving his children a special treat, all the time.

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Matthew 7:11 (KJV)

However, there is what we call “the blessing of the Lord”. It is different from a daily gift that God gives us to bring us more joy. It is a special blessing that comes upon a man and makes that man experience a breakthrough in whatever domain the man invests himself in. This blessing makes you succeed in every endeavor you undertake because it comes with favor.

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich,
and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Proverbs 10:22 (KJV)

A good example of a man who was a carrier of this kind of blessing is Abraham.

1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Genesis 12:1-3

This blessing made Abraham wealthy and he succeeded in everything he did.

And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.

Genesis 13:2 (KJV)

And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.

Genesis 24:1 (KJV)

This is the blessing that Abraham passed over to Isaac, and Isaac to Jacob who became the blessed nation of Israel. You see, the blessing is so powerful that it can turn a man into a nation. Hallelujah!

The Bible further informs us that this very blessing which Abraham was blessed with flows in the life of everyone who believes in Jesus Christ:

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Galatians 3:13-14 (KJV)

Therefore, be informed today, that Abraham’s blessings are in your life. This blessing will make you a champion in life. You will succeed in all you do because Abraham’s blessings are yours through Christ Jesus. Amen.
