Our society as we know it is divided into different strata of people. We have the rich and the poor, the ordinary and the privileged, the peasants and the noble. Everyone wants to belong to the higher class of people, the noble class. But they are not ready to pay the price to get there. You see, the path to greatness comes at a price. It is not a free path. If it were, then everyone would be able to access that class. There are several things that you must do and several virtues you must acquire before you can sit and dine with greatness. One of these vital virtues is humility.

Proverbs 22:4 (KJV)
are riches, and honour, and life.
The Bible says riches, honor, and life are friends to humility. Therefore, if you know humility, he will introduce you to his friends.
The ability to remain humble in all circumstances is a true mark of greatness. Some people become arrogant and puffed up because of riches, or knowledge, or because they know or are related to people of high standing in society. Such pride will lead to their ruin.
Pride goeth before destruction,
Proverbs 16:18
and an haughty spirit before a fall.
Humility on the other hand will lead to your upliftment.
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
1 Peter 5:6
Therefore, remain humble in all circumstances; in poverty and riches, in hard times and good times, because humility is a path to greatness and a true mark of kings.
