And from Jesus Christ the faithful and trustworthy Witness, the Firstborn of the dead [first to be brought back to life] and the Prince (Ruler) of the kings of the earth. To Him Who ever loves us and has once [for all] loosed and freed us from our sins by His own blood.

Bottom line: Only the blood of Jesus has power to cleanse us from sin.
Teaching
From when man sinned against God in the Garden of Eden, he suffered great consequences up till date (Genesis 3:17-19). The bible says man came under a curse by reason of his disobedience towards God. Man was sent away from the presence and glory of God because of sin (Genesis 3:23), for God is too holy and his eyes cannot behold iniquity.
In man’s fallen state, God didn’t abandon man to his doom but designed a plan for the salvation of man from the power of sin and death. That master plan was revealed by God to his prophets in the Old Testament and fulfilled in the New Testament with the birth, life, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus.
The bible says:
[In fact] under the Law almost everything is purified by means of blood, and without the shedding of blood there is neither release from sin and its guilt nor the remission of the due and merited punishment for sins.
Hebrews 9:22(AMP)
By his death and resurrection, the Lord Jesus became the perfect sacrifice for the cleansing of man’s sin. He became a substitute for man and bore man’s punishment for sin. So all who accept his sacrifice on the cross are cleansed by his blood. Not the blood of animals or any other human, but the pure holy blood of Jesus, saves because he was the only perfect sacrifice that was without blemish (without sin).
But [you were purchased] with the precious blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a [sacrificial] lamb without blemish or spot.
1 Peter 1:19
So, death has no rule over us thanks to the blood of Jesus.
Alter call
If you haven’t yet given your life to Jesus, then you still dwell under the curse that came through disobedience. I invite you to call on Jesus today because only His blood can cleanse you from sin and break the power of death and the devil over your life. The Bible says:
9 Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.
Romans 10:9-10
Pray this prayer today and receive salvation:
Lord Jesus. I have sinned against you in every way. Forgive me my sins today and wash me with your precious blood. On my own I can’t make it, so I invite you to be Lord over my heart and over my life. I receive the gift of your holy spirit. Now I am transformed. I am a new [wo]man, I am born again. Thank you Lord Jesus.
