BATTLES ARE FOR YOUR UPLIFTMENT.

Battles are for your upliftment

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Hebrews 4:15 KJV

Bottom line: You are well equipped to have victory over all battles.

Teaching

Everyone born in this world has known suffering in one way or the other. Suffering, pain, or rejection is a natural occurrence as long as you are in the flesh. Suffering was introduced on earth when Adam and his wife decided to disregard God’s word. Suffering is a consequence of sin, and the Bible declares.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 3:23

Therefore, everyone born on earth is born into a world corrupted by sin and experiences its devastating effect.

Often when men submit their lives to Christ, they feel like, “This is it, no more suffering, no more pain”. Then, they get disappointed because they experience the opposite.

The only place where we are going to have such an experience is in heaven.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Revelation 21:4

Furthermore, Jesus said.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

John 16:33

As long as we are in this world, we are strangers and enemies to the devil and his systems. So, we should expect to face adversity. We will always have the devil trying to inflict pain and destroy whatever we are building. But cheer up. Jesus has overcome the world and his Spirit lives in you. You are equipped to overcome the world and every work of darkness against your life.

Why then are some Christians swallowed up by battles? This is because they let it happen. Such Christians have not been taught about the power which resides in them and their spoken word. They have not been taught the weapons that have been put at their disposal such as the name of Jesus, the Blood of Jesus, and more. So they gave room to the devil.

Neither give place to the devil.

Ephesians 4:27

Our opening verse makes us understand that Jesus Christ, though he is the son of God faced all kinds of battles while he was on earth. But in the end, he triumphed over them all.

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Hebrews 4:15

Before he was born, there was no room for his mother Mary to deliver him after a long journey to Bethlehem. When he was about two years old, he had Herod the king as a fierce enemy. His father Joseph had to flee with him to Egypt for his life to be preserved. After he came back to his people, he was despised and rejected by them.

He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

John 1:11

His life was constantly threatened by the Pharisees and Sadducees. But through it all, He fulfilled His heavenly father’s will and saved the world.

This is the reflection of the life of a true believer. Battles shall come in all directions, but you shall have victory because you have the spirit of Jesus Christ. Hallelujah.
